FAQ
What is an Open Graph image?
Open Graph (OG) is a metadata protocol Facebook proposed and almost every platform — Twitter, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, iMessage — now reads. When your link is shared, the platform pulls the og:image tag to build the big preview card. A well-designed OG image meaningfully lifts click-through rate.
What is the standard OG image size?
1200×630 pixels works everywhere. Facebook and LinkedIn officially recommend it; Twitter's summary_large_image renders it cleanly too. ogimagex exports at exactly this size.
How do I add the image to my site?
Upload the downloaded PNG to your asset host, then add to your page <head>: <meta property="og:image" content="https://..." />. Pair it with og:title and og:description for the full card.
Are there any limits on the free version?
No. ogimagex is 100% free — no watermarks, no usage caps, no account required.
Why isn't the new image showing up on Twitter/Facebook?
Social platforms aggressively cache OG metadata. Use Twitter's Card Validator or Facebook's Sharing Debugger and click "Scrape Again" to force a refresh.
